Chrischel Collections Sdn Bhd as it stands today is a well-established garment manufacturer with her own designed brand of high quality fashion wear.
She started with an objective of catering to a niche market by designing and producing limited pieces for each collection, having in minds that “lady does not like to be seen wearing the same dresses in any occasion”. She also provides design services and tailoring for wedding gown, evening wear, cheongsam and dresses for special occasion. The last few years, she undertakes more and more manufacturing project for uniform in industries such as hotel, banks, polytechnic and universities, factories, restaurant, hospital, government agencies …
In recent years due to overwhelming request from our client, she started producing and supplying tee shirt. Recently, we have a joint venture with Malaysia biggest tee shirt manufacturer, QM Sports Sdn Bhd for Singapore Market and we are their appointed agent in Malaysia. For Tee Shirt manufacturing, we undertakes production from raw material (cotton, dying etc) to end product and provide services such as embroidery and silk screen printing. Therefore gaining competitive advantage in quality control and pricing. To further extending our services, we provide corporate gifts as well.
The beginning that started as a small step has today created a viable business. It all started from a humble beginning of a child loves of making dresses for her sidling. She is none other than Christina Tam, the fashion designer and owner of Chrischel Collections. In 1985, for her adoration for fashion and entrepreneurship, she started her tailoring shop in Air Keroh, Malacca. But in 1988, she feels there are more to learn from the outside world. She closes her tailoring shop and headed straight to Singapore. She started working in the garment factory as pattern maker and years on, learning garment manufacturing trade. In 1993, completed and graduated from the famous La Salle International School of Fashion Design. 1994 she comes back to Malacca and started Chris N Chel Collections. Now it is known as Chrischel Collections Sdn Bhd. |
